Author Guidelines

Vera Academic Press publishes peer-reviewed scholarly monographs, edited volumes, and book chapters in the fields of education, social sciences, and related disciplines. Authors are expected to adhere to high standards of academic integrity, originality, and methodological rigor.

1. Scope and Types of Submissions

Vera Academic Press considers the following types of submissions:

  • Scholarly monographs

  • Edited volumes

  • Individual book chapters (as part of edited volumes)

Submissions should align with the thematic scope of the Press and its publication series.

2. Originality and Ethical Standards

Submitted manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration elsewhere. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with academic ethical standards, including proper citation practices and avoidance of plagiarism.

Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of submission.

3. Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening to assess relevance, quality, and suitability for peer review. Manuscripts that pass this stage are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers.

Publication is not guaranteed. Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, and reviewers’ evaluations.

4. Submission Process

Authors must register on the Vera Academic Press submission platform prior to submitting a manuscript. Submissions are made through the Open Monograph Press (OMP) system using the five-step online submission process.

During submission, authors are required to provide complete metadata, including title, abstract, keywords, and author affiliations.

5. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be prepared in clear academic English and formatted according to the following general guidelines:

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

  • Abstract: 150–250 words

  • Keywords: 4–6

  • Referencing style: APA (latest edition) or another recognized academic style relevant to the discipline (to be specified by the editor)

  • Tables and figures should be clearly labeled and accompanied by appropriate captions

Detailed formatting instructions may be provided upon acceptance.

6. Open Access and Copyright (CC BY)

All publications by Vera Academic Press are published as open access.

Authors retain the copyright to their work and grant Vera Academic Press a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the content.

Published works are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which permits others to copy, distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the work for any purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source.

7. Language Editing and Proofreading

Authors are responsible for ensuring the linguistic quality of their manuscripts prior to submission. Minor editorial revisions may be requested during the review and production stages.

8. Publication Fees

Vera Academic Press does not charge submission or publication fees at this stage. Authors are not required to pay any fees for peer review or publication.

9. Contact and Further Information
