Publishing Agreement

This Publishing Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Vera Academic Press (“Publisher”) and the author(s) (“Author”) of the submitted work (“Work”).

By accepting publication of the Work, the Author agrees to the following terms:


1. Grant of Copyright

The Author hereby transfers and assigns to the Publisher the full copyright in the Work, including all rights of reproduction, distribution, public communication, adaptation, and translation, for the full term of copyright protection.

This transfer enables the Publisher to publish the Work in digital and print formats and to distribute the Work through open access, print-on-demand, and commercial channels.


2. Open Access License

The Publisher shall make the Work publicly available under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.

This license permits any user to copy, distribute, reproduce, adapt, and reuse the Work in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the Author(s) and the Publisher.


3. Moral Rights

Nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to restrict or waive the Author’s moral rights, including the right to be identified as the author of the Work and the right to object to derogatory treatment of the Work, as recognized under applicable law.


4. Author Warranties

The Author represents and warrants that:

  • The Work is original and has not been previously published.

  • The Work does not infringe any copyright, moral right, or other proprietary right of any third party.

  • All necessary permissions for third-party content (including figures, tables, images, or extensive quotations) have been obtained.

  • The Work is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.


5. Third-Party Material

Where the Work includes third-party content, the Author confirms that written permission has been secured for publication under the terms of this Agreement and the CC BY license.

The Author remains responsible for the accuracy and legality of such permissions.


6. Peer Review and Editorial Control

The Author acknowledges that acceptance of the Work is subject to editorial screening and double-blind peer review.

The Publisher retains the right to request revisions, corrections, or editorial modifications and to determine the final form of publication.


7. DOI Assignment

The Publisher shall assign Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to the published Work and, where applicable, to individual chapters through Crossref.

Once assigned, DOIs are permanent and cannot be modified or reassigned.


8. Termination

In the event of a material breach of this Agreement, the Publisher reserves the right to withdraw the Work from publication.

Termination shall not affect licenses already granted to users under the CC BY license.


9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Türkiye.


10. Acceptance

By submitting and approving publication of the Work through the Publisher’s online system, the Author confirms acceptance of the terms of this Agreement.
